Illustration Friday - Visitors
Remember when your parents would have a party and it was all just over your head? That was what first came to mind for "visitors." Pencil & digital color. Thanks for looking!
SWEET! i had no idea this even existed -- this site, these pieces, this whole aspect to your work. (i suppose that's my own fault for being so terrible at keeping in touch.)
anyway, i adore the illustrations here completely. in various pieces i see shades of bill plympton, ralph steadman, jon j muth, egon schiele, maybe a little triplettes of belleville going on, maybe even a little frank miller here, a little gustav klimt there... fantastic stuff!
have you ever thought about drawing comics? the reason i ask, is, i've thought about writing them...

I, too, still feel this way! Great job at capturing that feeling.

Her expression is priceless!
very expressive, great body language, especially the toes, love it.
A wonderful image, visually and mentally! I remember, ear pressed to the door in the dark, listening to stories and laughter that made no sense...
Great idea and great style. I love her feet :)
oooo I just love this! The colours are great!
